Week 1: Great American - Bosco Tech
Invite
Anthony Martinez: Finished as #2 runner in San Fransico and helped
his team to a 5th place finish with a time of 16:41 over 5K.
Patrick Pavelski: Lowered lifetime best to 16:43 and was Braves top
finisher at the Don Bosco Tech Invite.
Darby O'neill: Ran a personal record of 16:53 at Don Bosco Tech Invite.
Week 2: Woodbridge Invitational
Anthony Martinez: Finished 3rd in the Division II JR. race while running
a lifetime best of 15:30 and establishing himself as the Braves #1
man.
Matthew Pruter: Finished 1st among his Brave Freshman counterparts,
running to a personal best of 18:19.
Week 4: SJB Vs. Servite - Roadrunner
Classic
Daniel Estrella: Lowered his lifetime best 17 seconds in route to a
6th place finish at The Roadrunner Classic, making it his first time
sub 16 minutes on any course!
Ruben Flores: Lowered his Roadrunner record personal best 2:09 -- from
19:06 to 16:57, and once
again proved he is a solid member of the Braves top 7!
Joey Hawkins: Stepped up as a Varsity member in Serra League Duel meet
against Servite. Lowered his personal best at Roadrunner from 19:39
to 17:50!
Week 5: SJB VS. Mater Dei - Clovis Invite
Randy Hills: Ran a season best 5K time of 16:04 to place him in the
top 5 amoungst Division II
runners and 23rd place overall at the Clovis meet.
Darby O'neill: Paced his JV squad to an 8th place finish at the Clovis
meet while running a 5K
time of 17:44, placing him in 20th place overall.
Week 6: Bell Gardens Invitational
Ricardo Banuelos: Lowered his Bell Gardern time to 19:35 from 21:03
in 2000.
Randy Skillens: Ran a smart race with a strong finish en-route to a
top finish in the Freshman race at Bell Gardens.
Luis Uribe: First year runner broke 18 for the first time this season
en-route to a personal best of 17:53 at Bell Gardens.
Week 7: Mt. SAC Invitational
Anthony Martinez: Improved on 2000 invitational time 52 seconds to
finish in a time of 15:46 and as the Braves #1 runner.
Randy Skillens: Finished 2nd overall in the Freshman race racing to
a time of 17:32 and established himself as the Braves #8 runner.
Ruben Flores: Improved 2000 invitational time 53 seconds in route to
a time of 17:21. Established himself as key member of Braves top 7.
Week 8: SJB VS. Santa Margarita
Randy Hills: Controlled, then took over the race against Santa Margarita.
Hills became the first Serra League runner to take first place in
a duel meet against a Santa Margarita team enroute to running 15:51
at La Mirada Park.
Randy Skillens: Finished 2nd overall in the Frosh/Soph race against
Santa Margarita. Moved into 3rd position all time amoungst all Bosco
Freshman. Once again established himself as the Braves #8 runner.
Albert Flores: Clinched the meet for the Braves against Santa Margarita
with a come from behind run finishing as the Braves #4 man and 5th
overall in the race.
Week 9: Serra League Finals
Luis Uribe: Surprised everyone in the Serra League by winning the Frosh/Soph
League title en route to a 17:04 clocking and earning himself a spot
on the Varsity squad for the CIF post season.
Mahesh Gandhi: PR'ed at League Finals with a time of 16:31. Was the
final scorer for the Varsity squad finishing in 14th place overall.
Jon Sandoval: Helped clinch the F/S League title for the Braves behind
a PR of 17:52 and running as the sqad's 4th man.
