Braves Lower Levels Tune Up Before Mt. SAC On a warm Fall day the Braves took to a flat course at Legg Lake
Park for a speed tune up for next week's Mt. SAC Invitational.
Although two very different courses the Braves went into this week's
race with solid focus and came away from the day with strong performances
overall. When the day was over the outlook looked positive as the
Braves next will prepare for a Mt. SAC course that is a mixture
of flat, up and down hill terrain.
Leading their respective grade level races today were Matt Estrella
(16:29) in the senior race, Matt Pruter (16:44) in the junior race,
Michael Alvarez (18:53) in the sophomore race and Luis Toapanta
(17:46) in the freshman race. Standouts for the Braves today were
juniors Carlos Alvarenga (17:41), and Casey O'Neill (19:41) who
set personal bests for themselves by 35 and 38 second respectively. |
