DON BOSCO TECH::
Braves - 15 Seconds To 5
St. John Bosco Races Packed In First Outing On a cool Saturday morning the Braves ran their first successful
race of the season. It was an impressive team race if not an impressive
race time wise. The senior boys kicked things off with top performances
from Luis Uribe and Ephraim Barrios. Each runner started the race
burried and had to work to catch up but ultimately ran respectable
times to finish in 15:47 and 15:53.
The freshman race saw an emergence of a new Brave as Luis Toapanta
stepped up to lead his team. His finishing time of 17:47 gave his
peers confidence that he will be a force to reckon with in the
near future. Other freshman that made an impressive showing were
Victor Bonilla, Tim Barreto, and Raymond Cruces - all of whom
broke the 20 minute barrier in the first high school race.
The Juniors stepped up well today to help their team. Randy Skillens
led the way with a time of 15:50 but perhaps the biggest asset
to today's team was the duo of Kevin Urak and Luis Perez. Each
runner achieved a huge PR and proved they will help their team
all season long.
Overall the Braves top 5 finishers were only seperated by fifteen
seconds. That statistic may come in very handy come championship
time with the Braves scorers all racing in a tight pack. Stay tuned!
