Juniors Lead Braves at Fastback Season Opener

The junior trio of Victor Bonilla, Justin Martinez, and Tim Barreto had a strong season opener to pace their team to a solid finish at this year's Fastback Shootout Invitational. The grade level run meet featured 11 of the state's ranked teams and many highly touted individuals. The Braves were able to hold their own as a team as sophomore Brett McCoy - the teams #4 runner for the day - also posted a solid clocking that placed him 4th in his race. While the fifth and sixth man spots struggled through their races, there is room for improvement and they will look toward next week to rebound. Sophomore Alex Theriot had a breakthrough race for himself and has plans of improving to lead the Brave frosh/soph team to success this season.
