Weekend Round-Up

The Braves competed at both the Millikan Distance Carnival and Brea Olinda relays this weekend.

Some outstanding performances from the Millikan meet were juniors Victor Bonilla, Timothy Barreto, and Justin Martinez along with sophomore Brett McCoy who ran to solid finishes in their 3200 meter races. They posted times of 9:50.22, 10:00.86, 10:04.38, and 10:21.48 respectively.

Notable marks at the Brea meet came from senior Steven Caudillo who finished 2nd overall in the 200 meters in a seasonal best time of 23.47, and freshman Matthew Hamlett who posted a solid effort of 55.48 in the frosh/soph 400 meters. Junior Dwayne Giles and the sprint medley relay team of Craig Williams, Randolph White, Frank Islas and Giles both placed second overall in the meet respectively.
