Bonilla Advances to CIF Finals!

Giles and White Set Personal Bests

Junior Victor Bonilla gave the track and field squad something to cheer about as he advanced into next Saturday's CIF-Southern Section final in the 3200 meters.

Bonilla wasn't the only bright spot for the Braves at this year's CIF preliminaries. Although not qualifying both senior Randolph White and junior Dwayne Giles set personal bests on the year. White, who has come into his own on both the basketball court and track in his last year of high school finished 3rd in his heat of the 100 meters in a time of 11.35. Giles who had to step up to be one of the team's "big guns" had a fine overall day competing in four events. He set a personal best of 50.83 in the 400 meters placing third in his heat and clinched the 8th spot on the St. John Bosco all time 200 meter list finishing in a time of 22.39!
