No Sunshine for Braves at Surf
City
Huntington Beach High School was once again the site for
this years Surf City Invitational. It was a beautiful day
filled with impressive performances - not many of which came
from the St. John Bosco Braves. For the Braves Track and Field
team this was a day that they seemed to as a team "just not
have it." Flat performances fueled by fatigue (and possible
lackluster attitude) gave the Braves a Track Meet they may
soon forget. All was not lost however, as it was a good wake
up call for the team.
All of the Brave's Serra League Rivals were in attendance
for this meet. Servite, Mater Dei and Santa Margarita shined
while the Braves fell somewhat short of expectations. These
league teams proved to the Braves on this day that they will
not just let the Braves roll over them and will do everything
in their power to beat any Bosco team. It now appears that
the Braves need to refocus their goals and dedication to each
of their events in order to rebound from their "off day."
